Meet Lorena
Balloonyz began in 2015 when I, Lorena Marquez, was interested learning tricks and techniques about balloon decorating after first seeing an art piece featured in a Mexico City newspaper!
I fell in love with this beautiful work of art I instantly knew that this is what I wanted to do to earn my income and help my family. Days after, I took a class in Mexico City taught by the amazing Gabby Paz. This further inspired me to continue learning, and taking classes by the best to master this art form that I am continuing to improve on.
I have attended several training conventions including, World Balloon Convention (2016 in New Orleans, LA, and 2018 in San Diego, CA), FLOAT (2022 in Chicago, IL), Decolovers Institute in Florida, and many more classes! When we began, I was a stay-at-home mom raising my three kids. Thanks to the power of social media, we have now expanded to working with all new different and loyal clients, whom we are so thankful. I earned my CBA Certified Balloon Artist at FLOAT 2022 in Chicago.
I am one of 75 artists selected to work for The Big Balloon Build in London this coming December 2023!
